Hallifax have been my bank since uni a few too many years ago. Its very easy to stay with a bank which is not offering good service becuase it’s too much hassle but i can honestly say that the hallyfax have been good to me, instore they are great and the website is cool too, halifax.co.uk – 4 stars from me

Average Customer Review::I have been with this bank for over 10years now. At one time it was possibly the best bank on the UK high steet. However the greed and disrepect they show their customers is beyond belief. I am one of those people who took them to court over bank charges.AFTER CHECKING MY STATEMENT’S I FOUND THEY TOOK MONEY THAT THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO TAKE.They stole it in other words, in bank speak admin error. Now if i have a problem with them ,the call centres are evasive and unhelpful, in some cases abusive. They caused a problem on my account a few months ago.( THEY SAID ASDA WERE TO BLAME) they charged me £25 for their error. They refunded the charge, then charged me 1p interst that put me over-drawn and charged me, yes you guessed it £25 for the 1p. I went to their branch at Blyth who wanted to refund the charge,but because i was one of those, who had taken leagal action, they were not allowed to do it. The charges now stand at over £50 They say they will close the account and recover the money through debt collecting agents.
