They did experienced a downturn a few years ago but have recently bounced back due to the leadership of Stuart Rose. He has improved their stores and vastly improved their online offering. They offer a massive range of products including: Womenswear, Menswear, Lingerie, Kidswear, Food & Drink, Entertainment, Travel, Technology, Home & Furniture, Flowers and Presents. At the heart of M&Ss product offering is Quality and exceptional Service! While more recently they have aimed to lower prices in an attempt to offer better value for money. Online you can buy from Marks and Spencer with complete confidence due to their 90 day refund policy, which has got to the best in the market. Overall an excellent shop to buy from. Having shopped in M&S for a good forty odd years, Ibough less and less during the period of a few years not so long ago in Mens clothes, when your fashions got a bit out of date and expensive, shall we say.
Average Customer Review::But in the last three weeks I have found myself in two of your stores,one in Fleetwood, (Freeport) and the other in Preston,(town centre) Lancashire, and you know what?
Somebody has breathed fresh air into picking mens clothing!
I am 6ft. 5 ins tall, and have always found it difficult to buy clothes that fit me, having to pay ‘through the nose so to speak, in Moss bros or High and Mighty stores to find what i needed.
But M&S have got it together as far as i am concerned, for you not only stock size 12 extra wide fit fashionable and good quality shoes, but decent casual trousers too!
So, i bought two pairs of shoes, five pairs of casual trousers, and I will most certainly be back to buy more in the near future.
A big thumbs up for whoever is responsible for NOT forgetting big blokes like me!
Just thought Id write to tell you about a dressing gown I bought in 1978 , yes 1978, I bought it when I went into nusing all those years ago .It still looks brand knew .People dont believe me when I tell them how long Ive had this dressing gown.The only thing that has ‘vanished are the little internal ties and the label. It has been worn faithfully washed once or twice a week for more than40years.Its a full length white polyester gown with little blue and green flowers on it .Well done! I also have another one bought in 1984 (106/9111 113) with a night gown to match and its perfect too .I come to Scotland 3or 4 times a year and always shop at M&S. Will be shopping with you next week and thought it would be nice to tell you about my great bargain! ps yes the garments still fit!!!One very satified customer!
Average Customer Review::I would like to thank M&S, Lynn of Swindon store in particular for making my shopping experience such a good one today. We came up from Chippenham to get some underwear, a member of my family needed to be fitted for a bra. On arrival I heard another customer enquiring about the bra measuring service and she explained you needed to make an appointment for weekends. I was really cross with myself as I had not even thought of this! Anyway when it was my turn to talk to her I explained where we had come from and that we couldnt access the store during the week and she was brilliant. She fitted us in, was very accommodating and was in and out getting different sizes and styles until we had chosen which ones we wanted. Thanks Lynn you have restored my faith in shopping, and in particular M&S. You are a great ambassador for your store.

I am one of the people who love Marks and Spencers!I love their food, the quality of their products, their shops, everything. To my amazement , their Customer Services are not brilliant…really bad in fact.All I wanted to do was to get an estimate for some curtains.I made numerous attempts and the answer was the same every timeâ€someone will contact you in 48 hoursâ€.After nearly two weeks and three phone calls no one contacted me. I called Customer Services again and the woman at the other end couldn’t put me through, because she was “not sure†which department would deal with my enquiry. But she did take some details(again)ensuring me someone will contact me! Apart from the fact that I had to ring a lot of times and no one made any contact with me yet, the Customer Services representative, who obviously did not know anything about curtains, asked me the type of lining I wanted and I told her I wanted a “blackout liningâ€. She repeated what I said and she started laughing, as if there was not such a thing and I did not know what I was talking about!
Average Customer Review::So my conclusion is that I still love their food and I love my local M&S but I will never attempt to order curtains from them.
I am getting mine from John Lewis who dealt with my enquiry in about two minutes! And now I know why John Lewis has better profits- because they are better!!!!!!
Having been a moderately good customer for a year or two, I am appalled at your latest fiasco ! ! You have heavily advertised a mouth-watering Valentines Dinner, and totally failed to provide it except maybe to those people who knew your inadequecies of old.
Average Customer Review::My daughter and her husband have their Wedding Anniversary today, so I tried to order this meal online for them to collect from store..Impossible inspite of tantalizing videos .. So I was going to send them a cheque to cover the meal. But the Store near them had been swamped with purchasers and the cupboards were bare. Alas my cheque will now boost Tesco`s coffers
Marks and Spencer has always been one of my favourite stores for food and especially clothes shopping. I emmigrated to Canada 16 years ago where I came across a tiny version of an “M&S” store. I was so excited to know that there were “M&S” stores in Canada, it made my settling into Canada abit easier, however I was sorely disappointed! It sold a small selection of food items. The women’s fashions were lacking the usual variety and selection. M&S in Vancouver closed its doors soon after. Thankfully, I still have family in the UK; I either place my orders online through the M&S website, pay for my orders and have them delivered to a UK address which eventually either gets mailed to me in Canada or brought over. This works perfectly for me. The Per Una and Portfolio range are my favourites. In fact, my first Per Una item was a beautiful pink and white floral skirt that I purchased 5 years when I last visited the UK. It still fits me and looks fab. I get a lot of compliments on my M&S wear. I did have a terrible customer service experience 3 years ago when I placed an order online from Canada for the first time. I ended up telephoning customer service from Canada; when I finally got put through to a customer service agent and explained that I had placed an order online from Canada and I was having problems, the lady disconnected my call. Twice I called, same thing occurred when I explained that I was calling from Canada and had placed an online order. I had my mother in the UK call and she explained on my behalf and the agent kept disconnecting her call too! Very odd, considering that I had just placed an order worth $200 CAD. The issue did get resolved after I sent an email to the office of the previous CEO of M&S. I received an apology email from his office including a 100 GBP credit! I love M&S, always will. I am planning a trip to the UK in 2011 and first stop is the local fish and chips shop then M&S!
Average Customer Review::As a lifetime M&S customer, I really would like to draw attention to one of your staff in the Avenue shopping centre in Newton Mearns glasgow. His name is Robert and he really does go out of his way to help customers with problems. I had been to Silverburn shopping, when making a purchase in Marks I tendered my bank card instead of my M&S card but entered my M&S pin number three times before I noticed this mistake thus rendering my bank card useless. The girl directed me to the cash machine outside the shop but because of the queue I thought it quicker to drive up to the Avenue. When I got to the cash machine within the shop, Robert was helping another elderly woman with the same problem and I asked him what he had done he then with a very patient and tolerent attitude he guided me through the process to re – set the pin number on my bank card. Nothing seems to be a problem to this very gracious young man who is indeed a credit to the company.
Average Customer Review::Marks and Spencer has provided my family with clothes for the last 40 years and I have been a satisfied customer. This year I seem to have had problems in the sizing. I am a size eight and have trousers in my wardrobe bought from M&S over the last 4/5 years and have had to return about 3 pairs because they are far too big round the waist. No I havent lost weight I am 7lbs over my normal weight. I think I could do with a size 6 now!!!! Will you be making smaller sizes soon?
I collected a skirt and T shirt today that I ordered on line the skirt is size 8 and again the waist is too big the T shirt is also size 8 and is perfect.Because the TShirt looks OK worn over the skirt I can get away with it. I know that I could shorten it but as it is patterned around the bottom this is not possible. I shall be keeping it anyway and the waist sits on the hips which is OK in this instance.
Regarding the trousers even with a belt this looks awful all bunched up and as you will appreciate its not easy altering waists on trousers.
Average Customer Review::I get all my clothes from there, the staff are really helpful,always things to buy in your size. Got a jumper from them in December 2008 still in very good condition even wash after wash. Highly reccomend it.
