They have a strong customer based and are one of the most recognised brands in the UK because they sponsor the England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland football teams. Since they were started way back in 1846 they grown to over twelve million members and over twenty million accounts. In addition, Nationwide are the second largest mortgage lender in the UK. All of this success is down to a long history, great deals, excellent customer service and one of the best reputations in the UK financial sector. They really listen to their customers, last year alone their staff recorded over 120,000 pieces of member feedback. Which resulted in a six year £300 million investment programme designed to make their services and facilities the best of any bank or building society in the UK.
