I have waited 30 minutes (without success) trying to give my meter reading to the ‘automated meter reading’ service. Finally I gave up and went on to npower website npower.com/readyourmeter. Again I get no success. Are npower taking the proverbial michael ???

Average Customer Review::My experiences with NPower have been a nightmare! It provides gas and electricity to my house in London and electricity to my cottage in the Cotswolds and permanently fails to register the meter readings I provide either to the dreadful phone line or the website, continuing to render estimated bills, and regularly holding up to £200 of my money when I pay by Direct Debit as a result of over-estimating my consumption.
Only with the intervention of EnergyWatch did I recover the money of mine NPower was holding and it still fails to register my own meter readings. Am in the process of switching.

I dont know who you employ on your Custormer Service Helpline if anyone as we never get to speak with anyone ,but when the Energy Supply ombudsman sorts this out for us we will be leaving npowerso fast are head will spin.

Attempted to provide a final meter reading to np over the phone, no joy kept waiting for ages. Tried online also no joy. For a large player in the energy market they are totally useless. I can only guess they can save you money! by not actually having a customer service dept. Would never use them again, what a total sham.
Average Customer Review::I have written four letters to Npower and not received a reply. I wrote a fifth letter and received a reply one month later saying the matter was receiving attention, “The good news is that you do not need to do anything further.” A month later I am still waiting. When I joined Npower I was promised I would receive £80 at the end of the first twelve months, I am still waiting. I cannot get in touch with anyone in authority to discuss any matter. I received a revue from them with wildly estimated usage over the next 18 months, more than doubling my past usage and bumping up my direct debit by one third. Their 18 months is a bit ambitious at present. Npower ia truly a disgraceful company, unfortunately we tend to find these things out too late. Those thinking of moving to Npower, DON’T. Does anyone have the address of the head of Npower in England, that would be useful.
