Orange.co.uk Mobile Phones and Broadband Review

While originally part of the massive Far East conglomerate Hutchinson Whampoa, Orange (www.orange.co.uk) have created a strong brand in the mobile phone industry and continue to lead the way with innovative and well timed services. While it took a little while for the company to find its feet as a stand alone entity, a progressive investment policy has seen the group reach the top table of the UK mobile phone industry. Orange have also been very proactive on the new technology side and are actively looking to bring both traditional landline broadband and mobile broadband services to the masses. The traditional landline broadband service has been up and running for some time and broadband for your mobile is not too far away. On top of this they also offer an extensive range of handsets and phone accessories, not to mention one of the widest arrays of pay as you go and contract phone deals currently on the market. After a slow start they are gathering pace.

I have had an Orange contract phone for 5 years but just saw there broadband offer last month. I rang up and they had me online within 3 days! I just pay the two bills together now but it is still a lot cheaper than the internet service provider I used to use. I brought it from orange.co.uk/shop, shop.
Average Customer Review::I like to change my phone all of the time and Orange seem to be the best around for getting the new phones in very quickly. Im on one of those special contracts which gives you free numbers to call and it is saving me a fortune and they also give me 200 free texts a month.
Average Customer Review::I was looking to upgrade my internet connection to broadband and saw a leaflet with my last phone bill for their broadband service. Foolishly i rang them up and decided to go with them but have had nothing but trouble since. They lost my application then they took 2 weeks to connect me. Everytime I ring up i seem to speak to a different office and nobody seems to know what is going on. My friend has broadband with them and he has had no problems! Its all sorted now but if they mess up again i will be looking elsewhere.
Average Customer Review::Love orange, i saw an advert in the newspaper for shop.orange.co.uk or was it orange.co.uk/shop then when online. The site was clear and simple. Brought a lovely little handset and got a good deal. I think the phone came the next day which put a smile on my face.
Average Customer Review::I’ve just singed up to orange broadband max and I’ve been very pleased with the service. I took the half price home boradband offer which is just £6 for the first 3 months - orange.co.uk/max. The speed is good, it is supposed to be 2 meg, but none of them work at the “up to” speed.
Average Customer Review::I signed up for Home Max on 14 April 2008. Orange took over my line on 9 May 2008. I am still waiting to have my second line connected and despite various emails advising me to ‘wait till we get further updates’ and thanking me for my patience - which is unfortunately wearing extremely thin now - it is now 1st June and I still cannot access cheap calls via the internet!
If there was another provider who offered calls to Orange mobiles, I would sign up with them immediately and cancel with Orange without hesitation. I am not a very satisfied customer.
My website rating would be zero - but a zero was not indicated.
Average Customer Review::I just got the boradband deal of £6 a month, which is really pretty good. You get it from orange.co.uk/nice and it is a nice deal :).
Average Customer Review::Just got orange broadband for £6 a month which is quite a saving on the £18 i was paying with Virgin media. I saw the ad in the daily mail, orange.co.uk/range, and arranged it the same day with no problem. Within a week i was live, lovely!
