Over the last few months there have been some major changes in the direction and services which Pipex (www.pipex.co.uk) provide. Out has gone the web hosting subsidiary as well as a number of other peripheral services, leaving the broadband business and allowing the company to focus on this core division going forward. As well as changes to their services, Pipex has been acquired by the telecoms giant Tiscali ensuring that the backing which may have been unavailable in the past is now available in plentiful amounts. The company were successful in their own right having sneaked under the radar of many of the majors to snatch some of their market share. Now a truly focused broadband provider, backed by a major parent company, Pipex are looking to build on their already impressive standing in the market, a standing which has seen them top many consumer polls over the last 12 months.

My friend recommended Pipex to my husband and I. We were happy to change from Tesco to this terrific package of line rental, telephone and broadband for a monthly fee of £23 approx.
But regardless of phone calls to Pipex (on mobile phone £4 and £4 for other essential calls made) we are unable to secure provision of a telephone service since Tesco closed business with us on Tuesday 12th February 08.
Pipex said they would check the line but if BT had to call we would be billed for £65 and on and on.
Well we now know it was all due to a delay in the Pipex billing package and still we wait.
Pipex may cover themselves by saying it may take up to 15 days to secure a service. We have changed providers before and never had this experience.
Not happy with our first contact with Pipex.

My family have used pipex’s broadband service for about 3 years now. its fast, cheapish and the service has been top notch. My son has sky and he has had a few problems. I have talked him into switching to pipex.
